Product Design & Development, Inc., also known as PDDI, is a leading provider of tool and die services located in York, Pennsylvania. Since our inception in 1976, we have been serving the window and door manufacturing industry, offering complete solutions that include window and hardware design, testing assistance, and the manufacturing of fabrication equipment and metal stampings. Over the years, we have expanded our offerings to include plastic injection molded parts, machined parts, and services for manufacturers outside of the architectural product community.
At PDDI, we specialize in window and door design and manufacturing equipment, as well as tooling such as dies, box saws, mill machines, routers, and roller machinery. We offer a comprehensive range of hardware, with over 500 different parts for window and door designs, including balances, balance shoes, corner keys, jamb adjusters, keepers, locks, limit stops, trim clips, pivot bars, screen pulls, guides, weeps, and rollers.
Our full-service tool and die department is equipped with the latest technology to assist customers in the manufacturing of precision parts and high-quality tools, and we have a complete design staff ready to help determine the best tools for your needs and budget. We design all of our tools in-house using AutoCAD software and can provide designs in Solidworks 3D format as well.
Design & Manufacturing Services
At PDDI, we offer a range of design and manufacturing services, including consultation on maximizing fabrication efficiency and hardware adaptation. We collaborate with our customers to incorporate new or existing hardware into products and design, detail, and build tooling and machinery. We also specify and source tooling and machine components.
Our tooling fabrication services include the manufacturing of dies, drill and saw fixtures, gauges, milling cutters, hand tools, and weld fixtures, as well as the supply of hydraulic and pneumatic presses, milling machines, bending machines, and rolling machines. Additionally, we offer replacement parts for die sets to meet all of your manufacturing needs.
Our stamping department includes a range of punch presses, and we can assist in the design of stamped hardware and the engineering of appropriate tooling for in-house presses or customer presses. We also offer injection molding services for the manufacturing of plastic parts.
Injection Molding Services
At PDDI, we have a fully equipped injection mold facility on-site, offering competitively priced molds and molded parts. Our injection molders range from 5-ton to 35-ton machines, and we can assist with the design, prototype, and production of parts. Whether you need a few thousand parts or hundreds of thousands of parts, we have the expertise and technology to meet your needs.
