HBA's journey began with Keith McLean's deep-rooted passion for the building trade. His hands-on experience, starting from his high school and college days as a laborer and working his way up to foreman, provided him with invaluable insights into the industry. After graduating from West Virginia University, Keith further honed his skills as a district manager for Certainteed Corporation, responsible for manufacturing exterior home building products. This experience, coupled with two years working for a home builder-remodeler in Boston, equipped him with a comprehensive understanding of the complexities of the construction sector.

Driven by his entrepreneurial spirit and a desire to serve his hometown community, Keith returned to the Main Line in 1989. After a brief stint with a window fabrication business, he launched Hancock Building Associates. Guided by his philosophy of using quality materials, employing professional workmanship, and offering competitive pricing, HBA quickly gained recognition as a reliable and trustworthy home improvement company.
